COVID-19 Restrictions that apply to this year's Christmas Arrangements

As required by the Victorian Government because of the imposition of Last Step restrictions (refer www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/victorias-restriction-levels-covid-19), workship and prayer limitations are in place. This means that for 2020 there will not be:

  • Forgiveness Service / Individual Reconciliation
  • Carols followed by Midnight Mass

Other changes to our pre-COVID arrangements are as follows:

    • Attendance at ALL masses is only possible by prior registered booking only. Attendances are limited in line with government restrictions.
    • Under no circumstances should anyone awaiting test verification, including Clergy (even without presenting symptoms), attend until a diagnosis is confirmed. Additionally, under no circumstances should anyone attend who is closely connected to people who are awaiting test results or who have tested positive.
    • On registering to attend, the parish will collect related information from you.
    • Masks must be carried for use if 1.5m distance cannot me maintained.
    • The chairs are not to be moved from their pre-marked spaces.
    • The celebrating priest will give instructions on receiving Holy Communion during the Fraction Rite.
    • Communion may only be taken by hand.
    • Sanitize your hands on arrival and prior to receiving communion.
    • Arrive before mass starts. Regulations require us to close the doors to unregistered / late arrivals.
