Divine Mercy Sunday - Faith

Faith is a struggle, a challenge and a battle and there is nothing comfortable about it. Living in an environment as the new normal nowadays, it is difficult to see beyond the surface appearances and to sometimes trust totally in God's word.

This 2nd Sunday of Easter is Divine Mercy Sunday. Mercy in Latin is Misericordia. Two words combined- miseriae meaning misery and cor or cordis meaning heart. A Heart in Misery has become a heart that chose to suffer and having compassion with all one’s heart. And it is the nature of God's mercy that His heart extends into our misery and redeems it. This is the answer to the mystery of human suffering as it relates to redemption. Mercy signifies that God draws our misery into his own eternal loving heart. Let us never forget the endless mercy of God no matter how intense our trials become. May our words be "Jesus I trust in You."

Keep smiling and stay safe!

In Christ,
