Easter Sunday - Resurrection

My dear friends in Christ,
I cannot help but wonder in the midst of this crisis and difficult times, if God is actually setting things right. Is He allowing all these so the world can be shaken, and then things will well? I wonder if he is resetting some things. Is there a spiritual purpose behind everything that happens whether what we perceive as being good or being bad? It's quite the unexpected, isn't it?

The resurrection is the story of the unexpected. It is hard to grasp yet it is the central mystery of our redemption. The resurrection of Christ is the cornerstone of our faith and the most extraordinary happening in human history. God reset things and allowed things - the stone rolled back, the grave was opened and the tomb was found to be empty. It challenges us to share a kind of living that goes beyond the perception of this world. These are times of dying and rising to new life in Christ. We are reminded that while we may be separated and gathered as a domestic church in our homes, the Spirit unites us in Christ overcoming the distance. We are reminded too that after every difficulty, there is always ease. All our hopes and happiness comes from Christ's resurrection. In all the dark and bleak moments of life the possibility of resurrection exists because life is not hopeless. Life now presents and provides us with an opportunity of renewing our commitment to Christ personally, by taking a fresh look we vowed to lead, by letting the word of God dwell in our hearts.

Wishing you all a holy and safe Easter season!

Keep smiling.

Yours in Christ,
Fr. Arsenio
