Week 1 Theme: Let our Church be Jesus Christ's visible face to bring hope in the world today

oin us as we carry the Cross over Victoria during 2017. The attached "Pastoral Letter to the Catholics of Victoria" was issued by the Bishops of Victoria on 18th April 2017 on the subject of "the renewed push in Victoria and in many other parts of Australia for euthanasia and assisted suicide to be legalised". On Wednesday the 16th November 2016, a number of parishioners attended a very inspirational evening in the company of around 325 people from across the Melbourne Archdiocese and beyond. The guest speaker for the event was Fr. James Mallon, Parish Priest of St Benedict’s, Halifax, Nova Scotia (a province of Canada). Highly acclaimed for his work with parish renewal and the New Evangelisation, Fr James shared practical ways to inject new life into parishes. We welcome new members because of the difference that each person can make.

The time commitment is not onerous. The PPC meets monthly from February to November for no more than one hour and a half each meeting. However, members may be asked to volunteer to help at special masses or functions at the parish. There will also be a half day formation session on a Saturday early in the year.

We celebrate the Kingdom of God on the feast of Christ the King as the various Parish Groups contribute to establishing God's Kingdom in our community.

Holy Spirit, North Ringwood will be the venue for a beautiful retreat, “John the Beloved Disciple”, Saturday to Monday of the long weekend 11-13 June, 9am- 5.30pm.

This retreat offers participants the opportunity to connect with the mercy and love of Jesus, thus realizing they too are beloved disciples.
