Spirit Inspired: A moment in Time………..

27th July 2024

Spirit Inspired: A moment in Time………..

We are excited to invite submissions for our 2024 art exhibition themed ‘A moment in Time...........'. All art forms are welcome such as painting, drawing, photography, ceramics, pottery, sculpture, to name a few.

The idea for this exhibition was to give artists of all ages and abilities an opportunity to exhibit their work as a means of diversion and healing for our communities after lockdowns, and to celebrate the courage of artists. The courage to take an idea or concept from your mind and to convey that to an actual work is immense, and we need to celebrate that courage.

We offer this exhibition as a celebration of these courageous artists, for your enjoyment, and in the hope that it will inspire our visitors to try the art form they have thought about and never quite had the courage to commit to.

Note:

  • submissions are required by Tuesday 13th August.
  • you do not have to be a parishioner to make a submission.

Refer Spirit Inspired: A moment in Time........... for more details.

Holy Spirit on the move - making faith matter!

15th October 2023

Holy Spirit on the move - making faith matter!

How do we have a flourishing community at Holy Spirit?

Why would I want to join this community?

Why do I stay?

...

"Dear friends,

Engaging, dynamic and passionate is Ron Huntley. There is a certain charism, vibe, and energy when you listen to him. I’ve been privileged to be part of his leadership coaching cohort for parish renewal initiated by the Animation team of MelbourneArchdiocese. He made a lasting impact, brought great joy, dynamic re-focus, and high hopes on my ministry. It fueled my deeper understanding of parishes, cultures, and people in a vision rooted with a personal encounter with Jesus. Be part of his exciting visit to our parish. Holy Spirit is on the move!"

Fr Arsenio Tuazon, Parish Priest

Easter 2023: 'Recognised, healed and sent' - Archbishop Peter Comensoli

9th April 2023

Easter 2023: 'Recognised, healed and sent' - Archbishop Peter Comensoli

Friends,

Three things flow from the resurrection of Jesus Christ; three things that matter. In his resurrection, Jesus recognises us personally; he invites us to peace; and he sends us out.

The very first word Jesus spoke following his resurrection was a name: Mary. He saw his friend, and although she could not yet recognise him, he called her by name.

Similarly, Jesus personally recognised his friends, to whom he appeared. There was something intimate, and tender, and hospitable about the risen Lord. He draws us into his own resurrected life.
